Bonnechere Cave Ride + Photos
July 10th , 2022
A nice small group of riders enjoyed a perfect summer’s day. We left a Kanata Timmies just after 9 and headed to the Bonnechere Caves. We road through Carp, Arnprior, and then followed the Ottawa River though Braeside and Renfrew and arrived at the caves around 11. Our leisurely tour of the caves and its beautiful surroundings took us about an hour and a half. We had schnitzels for lunch in Eganville and with plans to have ice cream in Almonte. To get to the ice cream, we road though Cormac and onto Opeongo Rd. I believe we turned on the 34 to Calabogie, then the 511 and 16 to Almonte. We all made it back to our respective homes well before dinner. This ride was a leisurely 314 km over 7 hours.
